The use and throw plastic culture has to be thrown out with an iron hand.
April 2018 brings good news of a bumper sugarcane crop in India.
Though the minimum price assured for farmers has again become very hard to fulfill by our government, I wish to speak of another huge environment and ecology problem cropping up, and it is this.
We are all enjoying sugarcane juice in every nook and corner, and throwing away millions of disposable plastic cups and glasses on the streets and roads every day.
By the end of the summer season, our National Green Tribunal, courts, or government may address the issue, or it may not happen very soon.
The point I am making is why should we all wake up so late, or not wake up at all.
We as general public are more to blame as we are the ones who are enjoying the juice in throw away plastic glasses every second day.
I am not saying here that the courts and government officials are not enjoying the sc juice, but who will take the first step and action to stop this use and throw culture once and for all.
Why can't we use thick plastic glasses, or cups that can be washed and used a thousand times, and save them for the next season to be used again, and again, and again.
This should be the law that should be passed by the coming midnight, or should we ban the sugarcane juice and go on a hunger strike for one genuine cause at least.
P.S.- An absolutely similar problem exists of disposable millions of plastic tea cups being used everyday.
